The launched coin
The creator sets a name, ticker and description. Buyers receive that specific coin. A platform name or a similar ticker on another token does not establish its identity or holder rights.
Your ecosystem guide / Pump.fun
Pump.fun creates new coins and opens their markets. A reserve-based curve sets the initial price; the coin later moves into a PumpSwap pool. At launch, the creator chooses the paired asset and who receives a share of trading fees: the creator or eligible holders through Holder Rewards.
Every new coin has its own mint address on Solana. The quote asset is what traders pay or receive for the coin, and what the corresponding pool collects its fees in.
The creator sets a name, ticker and description. Buyers receive that specific coin. A platform name or a similar ticker on another token does not establish its identity or holder rights.
A coin can launch against SOL or USDC. Bonding-curve trades use that stage’s fee schedule; after graduation, its canonical PumpSwap pool uses a tier based on market capitalization in the paired asset.
A Custom Pair uses a listed Supported Pair Asset or an eligible Pump.fun coin launched against one. A listed Pump.fun coin is used as a Supported Pair Asset. An unlisted coin permits one secondary pairing level; eligibility follows its original quote asset’s status at launch.
PUMP is Pump.fun’s token. The platform uses part of its protocol revenue to buy PUMP on the open market and burn the purchased tokens.
A coin’s lifecycle
The bonding curve quotes buys and sells from its reserves. Buys raise the price, sells lower it, and trade size affects execution. Reaching the graduation threshold closes the curve and automatically moves liquidity into the canonical PumpSwap pool. A SOL pair pays the graduation fee from the curve; other pairs pay it in SOL from the migrating account, or from the user whose trade triggers graduation.
Curve trading begins when the coin is created. Graduation is automatic and irreversible. The canonical pool then uses the SOL or USDC fee tier for the coin’s current market-cap range.
Mechanism and terms ↗Ordinary Custom Pair fees depend on the trading stage and stay flat across market-cap ranges. For a multi-pool route, official Pump.fun interfaces collect the protocol fee at the first pool and the creator or holder fee and LP fee at the last pool.
Mechanism and terms ↗Holder Rewards directs the creator-fee share to holders. A SOL or USDC pair retains its standard schedule; for a Custom Pair, the creator sets a separate Holder Rewards rate at launch. Collected fees are distributed to eligible balances after distribution costs.
Mechanism and terms ↗A launch sets the coin’s pair and fee mode. PumpSwap handles pool trading after graduation, while Live and Terminal offer other ways to follow and participate in its market.
Coin creation
The launch form selects the coin, quote asset and available fee mode. Creation has no platform fee; the transaction still pays Solana network costs and the deposit for new token accounts.
Pools after graduation
PumpSwap receives liquidity from coins graduating from their curves. A coin’s canonical pool and other pools have different fee schedules.
Livestreams
Creators use Live to stream around their coins and speak with their communities. A coin page connects that conversation with its trading market.
Trading interface
Terminal provides a dedicated interface for Pump.fun coin trading. Multi-pool routes use the fee collection scheme of the platform’s official products.
Pump.fun requires users to be at least 18 and of legal majority. Access is limited to jurisdictions permitted by its Terms. Solana actions use a supported wallet or Pump.fun sign-in method. The paired asset and route determine the purchase payment; standard network operations use SOL.
Its page shows the address, pair, trading stage and fee mode. Buying on the curve and buying in a PumpSwap pool use different schedules.
Fund the selected route and retain SOL for network operations. Creating a coin requires a small deposit for token accounts even though the platform charges no creation fee.
The quote shows the coin received and trade costs. Supported EVM access uses a bridge with its own charges; Pump.fun pays network gas on those routes. A third-party trading interface can add its own fee.
A single pool collects fees in its quote asset. Canonical SOL and USDC pools use market-cap tiers; Custom Pairs use a flat schedule. The creator-fee share goes to the selected recipient, while the LP fee adds to pool liquidity.
Holder Rewards distributes accumulated trading fees in the pool’s quote asset. Each recipient’s share is proportional to their eligible coin balance.
Holder Rewards is selected at creation or through a community takeover. SOL and USDC pairs redirect the creator-fee share; a Custom Pair uses the holder rate selected at launch.
Before distribution, the vault reserves funds for network, account-creation and priority-fee costs. Distribution requires sufficient vault funds, a minimum eligible holder balance and a holder count within the platform limit. Sanctions and anti-money laundering screening can exclude a wallet from payment. Unused reserves remain in the vault.
Pump.fun runs payout rounds automatically when the parameters are satisfied and can pause or cancel them. Holders do not submit a Claim instruction. The amount follows collected fees, distribution costs and the wallet’s share of eligible balances.

Pump.fun is a launch and trading platform. Its coin and pool programs run on Solana; supported access from EVM networks adds a bridge route and that route’s payment rules.
A regular coin can become a Holder Rewards coin through a community takeover, or CTO. The conversion cannot be reversed to regular mode. Changing a Custom Pair rate also requires a CTO.
New Cashback launches are disabled. Existing coins retain their mode’s rules, and accrued Cashback remains claimable through the Pump.fun app.
