RISE: RISEx, XLP and ecosystem apps

RISE is an Ethereum layer 2 running EVM contracts. RISEx executes perpetual futures on the chain, while XLP supplies capital for its order book and liquidations.

RISE Mainnet and access to RISEx

RISE is the network where contracts execute. RISEx is its trading application: adding RISE to a wallet configures the network, while an access code opens the current trading service.

A wallet connection and a RISEx deposit are separate steps

After connecting on rise.trade and entering the access code, enable trading. Deposit offers two routes: send funds to a generated address or submit a deposit directly from your connected wallet.

Deposit with Wallet Select the source chain and amount, then confirm in the wallet RISEx account balance

Getting into RISEx

RISE mainnet is live, while the RISEx trading interface requires an invitation code. Connecting a wallet, depositing and enabling a trading account are separate steps.

01

Account

Connect an EVM wallet or sign in with Google. Save the recovery phrase when creating an embedded wallet.

02

Code and trading

Enter a code from an existing RISEx user, then enable trading. The interface switches the connection to RISE Network.

03

Deposit

Choose Send Crypto for a generated address or Deposit with Wallet. The selected route defines the source chain and accepted asset.

Withdraw funds

Open Withdraw in Portfolio, choose the destination network and enter the amount. Withdrawing from a trading account and redeeming XLP shares are separate operations.

Applications and operations

Trade or supply capital

RISEx runs perpetual futures on RISE. XLP uses deposited USDC to quote in those markets and take over liquidated positions.

Perpetual futures

RISEx

The order book, margin checks and trade execution run in RISE contracts. Market and limit orders are available alongside take-profit and stop-loss conditions.

Liquidity

XLP Vault

Depositors supply USDC and receive XLPUSDC shares. Built on Yearn V3, the vault deploys capital into market making and liquidations; strategy profits or losses change its share value.

Application wallet

RISE Wallet

The embedded wallet supports session keys: an application receives limited permission to act without a confirmation for every order. Permissions define the allowed actions and expiry.

One execution environment

Order books and capital on RISE

RISEx executes orders inside the EVM. A smart contract can interact with its order book in the same transaction as other RISE contracts.

RISEx trade

  1. 01Trading account
  2. 02EVM order book
  3. 03Position and margin

Contracts match orders and check collateral. The order, balance and trade settlement become part of the same RISE state.

XLP capital

  1. 01Depositor USDC
  2. 02XLPUSDC shares
  3. 03Strategy result

Strategies use USDC as collateral on RISEx. Market-making and liquidation results flow back to the vault; depositors redeem shares through a withdrawal queue.

Mechanics and terms ↗

XLP shares redeem into the RISEx account

Depositing into XLP issues XLPUSDC shares. Redeeming those shares returns USDC to the RISEx account through an epoch queue; withdrawing the credited USDC to an external wallet is the next operation.

01

Request a redeem

Shares enter Awaiting settlement. Cancel Redeem is available before settlement.

02

Wait for settlement

A keeper settles the queue around a 12-hour epoch, in arrival order. Each epoch allows withdrawals of up to 10% of vault assets; requests beyond that limit wait for the next epoch.

03

Claim USDC

After settlement, an onchain cooldown of about 12 hours precedes claiming. A 12-hour epoch wait plus the 12-hour cooldown adds up to about 24 hours.

ETH, USDC and XLP shares

Network fees, trading collateral and vault shares serve different roles.

ETH

RISE fees

Standard RISE transactions are paid in ETH. Mainnet uses chain ID 4153.

USDC

Trading capital

USDC is used in trading accounts and XLP. Deposit routes are selected inside RISEx; USDC.e is listed among the chain's tokens.

XLP

Vault share

XLPUSDC represents a share of XLP assets. Shares can be redeemed for USDC through the queue, with the result depending on strategy performance.

Three types of cost

Funding and trading involve different payments: a source-chain fee, a trade execution fee and funding between position holders.

01

Transfer and gas

The wallet submits a transaction on the selected chain. Its fee is separate from RISEx trading fees; RISE gas is paid in ETH.

02

Executed trade

RISEx tiers depend on order role and rolling 14-day volume. Orders adding liquidity to the book and orders taking it pay different rates.

03

Open position

Funding is settled hourly between long and short positions. The rate's sign determines which side pays.

AutoYield and portfolio margin

RISEx's next stage connects trading collateral to lending markets and yield strategies. Both features are currently marked as coming soon.

AY

AutoYield

The planned mechanism routes idle collateral into yield strategies and returns it for trading. Live XLP serves a separate purpose: order-book liquidity and liquidations.

PPM

Portfolio margin

Planned accounts combine spot assets and positions in one collateral health calculation. Morpho Lite integration provides the lending markets.

How RISE works

RISE is an EVM-compatible Ethereum layer 2. RISEx is an application on the chain, and other applications can interact with its order-book contracts.

L2

RISE Mainnet

Chain ID 4153, RPC rpc.risechain.com, ETH gas. Testnet uses chain ID 11155931 and separate assets.

EVM

Contracts sharing state

Order execution, margin and DeFi contracts run in one environment. This allows multiple actions to be composed into one transaction.

L1

Ethereum settlement

RISE submits its results to Ethereum. A fast order-book update and completed Ethereum settlement are different stages.

Source ↗

Trading account permissions

Connecting a wallet opens the interface; trading authorization lets an application submit specific actions on behalf of an account.

KEY

Session keys

Each key has an expiry and permitted actions. Revoking permission prevents further use of that key.

XLP

Leaving the vault

Share redemption uses a queue and liquidity limits. XLP capital is deployed in trading strategies and can incur losses.

Questions about RISE

1Are RISE and RISEx the same thing?

RISE is an Ethereum L2 running smart contracts. RISEx is a perpetual futures application whose order book lives on that chain.

2Do I need an invitation code?

Trading on RISEx mainnet requires a code from an existing user. After signing in, enable trading and deposit funds.

3Where do XLP results come from?

XLP quotes on RISEx markets and takes over liquidated positions. Strategy results flow back to the vault and change the value of XLPUSDC shares.

4Can I use AutoYield yet?

AutoYield is marked as coming soon. XLP already accepts USDC, but operates as a separate market-making and liquidation vault.

5How do I distinguish mainnet from testnet?

RISE Mainnet has chain ID 4153; testnet uses 11155931. They have separate balances, contracts and explorers.
