What does signing in with Phantom create in GMGN?

Connect Phantom creates a separate GMGN trading account with new wallet addresses. GMGN describes this as a custodial account: the service manages its wallet keys and does not offer key export for that account.

To trade from the external Phantom wallet, select Trade with Wallet. This uses the wallet for trading rather than as the login for a newly created GMGN account.

What makes up the cost of a Solana trade through GMGN?

The trade includes GMGN's service fee and network execution costs: gasA measure of the work a network performs to process a transaction. The network fee depends on the amount of work and its price, and is paid in the asset specified by the network rules., a priority fee and any configured tip. Priority and tip payments go to the nodes processing the transaction. A token launch venue can also charge a fee within the swap.
