Apps and platforms / Fomo

Fomo.

A social terminal: what you see, what you do.

Fomo (fomo.family) is a mobile and web app for trading crypto with a social layer, built by FOMO Labs, Inc. in New York. It is not a blockchain: it has no chain ID, gas or mainnet of its own and runs on top of Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Monad and Robinhood Chain. The public launch was on 6 May 2025; by June 2026 the company had raised about $94 million across three rounds.

Fomo: a trading app across networks

Fomo combines token trading and a social feed. The app routes trades across supported networks and uses the same account on mobile and web.

Product
Mobile and web trading application
Trading networks
Solana, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, Base, Ethereum and Monad
New account
Apple ID or Google account
Crypto funding
USDC through the selected deposit network

The deposit network defines where to send USDC

Open Deposit → Crypto and select the source network. Fomo generates an address and QR code for that route. Send USDC on the selected network; after crediting, the funds enter your Fomo trading balance.

IN

Fund the account

Use the crypto-deposit address shown for the selected network. The network selected on the sending exchange or wallet must match that route.

OUT

Receive outside Fomo

Open Withdraw → Crypto, choose the destination network and enter an address that receives USDC there. The transfer delivers USDC to that external wallet.

Funds / entry and exit

How to sign in, fund and withdraw

Sign in with Apple or Google, top up by card, Apple Pay or USDC, withdraw to an external address. Match the network and asset on both sides before transferring.

Sign-in is social: the web login modal offers only Apple and Google (checked live on 15 September 2026). The wallet is created by Privy, non-custodial, with an exportable private key; recovery is your own responsibility. Money comes in by Apple Pay or a debit card in the mobile app, or as USDC from an exchange or another wallet.

Sign-in on the web
“Continue with Apple” and “Continue with Google” — no e-mail field in the modal (checked live on 15 September 2026). The help centre says the same: sign up with an Apple ID or a Google account, the wallet is tied to that login, and signing in with a different one creates a separate account (23 April 2026) Source →
Wallet
Generated and managed by Privy; non-custodial — “you are solely responsible for safeguarding access to it”; private keys viewable and exportable, encrypted in transit Source →
Key architecture
Key split by Shamir’s Secret Sharing and assembled only inside a TEE at transaction time; ERC-4337 smart wallets on EVM networks; export and withdrawals need Face ID on Apple devices Source →
Recovery
On the user: the Terms require you to secure keys and set up your own recovery; losses from lost keys are not compensated. No social recovery is described Source →
Two-factor
MFA for everyone since 9 September 2026: passkeys, an authenticator app or Face ID Source →
KYC
Not required at sign-up; Fomo reserves the right to demand identity verification as a condition of accessing perpetuals. No thresholds are published Source →

Fiat → Fomo wallet

Card top-ups go through a third-party on-ramp provider: limits, identity checks and the rate are on its side.

Fiat top-up
Apple Pay or a debit card in the mobile app; the web version offered new users crypto deposits only (as of 29 April 2026) Source →
On-ramp provider
Coinbase: Fomo’s January 2026 recap calls it a “native Apple Pay onramp through Coinbase”. Google Pay is not mentioned in any primary source Source →
Limits
Minimum and maximum top-up amounts are not published by Fomo Source →

Exchange → Fomo wallet

Exchanges whose API reports USDC withdrawals on Solana, Base, BNB Chain as open. The recipient is your Fomo wallet on the same network.

Crypto deposit
USDC only, on supported networks; the guide of 25 December 2025 names Solana, Base and BNB Chain. Whether the networks added later accept deposits is not stated Source →
Crediting
“No more than two minutes” for a crypto deposit, per the guide Source →

Marketing says “multichain & gasless” and that Fomo sponsors gas and priority fees; the Terms of 17 August 2026 list gas on some EVM networks as your cost.

Exchange routes are what exchanges report through their APIs and change without notice. A closed route today is not a verdict — check the date next to each row.

Fomo / the social chart

A chart with people in it.

Price is only half the story. Fomo connects traders’ buys, sells and theses with charts and a social feed.

An illustrative example with no prices, PnL or real profiles. Following someone does not mean automatically copying their trades.

Fomo Web · How it works — primary source ↗

Checked 21 Sep 2026

Fomo mechanism example · illustrative chart and events

Bought

A purchase by someone you follow appears in your feed. You can see where it happened on the chart.

Shared a thesis

A thesis adds context: why someone opened the position and what they are watching. It is their opinion, not a promise of returns.

Sold a portion

A new event shows a change in the position. The notification arrives — your own trade remains your decision.

One person. Different markets. One feed.

Fomo integrates perpetuals through Hyperliquid and Trade[XYZ] into the same feed, profiles and theses. An oil perp is a contract, not ownership of oil.

Spot tokenBTC or oil perp

Perpetuals are unavailable to U.S. persons. Markets change; category examples do not confirm that a particular market is available today.

Fomo Perpetuals ↗

Lore

Where Fomo came from

Fomo was built by three former dYdX colleagues. The goal, in the CEO’s words, is for a newcomer to fund an account and buy a token in about 30 seconds while seeing other traders’ moves in a feed.

  1. Before 2025

    Three people from dYdX

Paul Erlanger, Se Yong Park and Prashan Dharmasena worked together at dYdX, and Erlanger and Park go back to Deutsche Bank. Erlanger became CEO.

  2. February 2025

    140 angels from a list of 200

The founders wrote down 200 people they wanted checks from, and 140 invested: a $2 million pre-seed. Among them Bryan Pellegrino (LayerZero), Balaji Srinivasan, Raj Gokal (Solana), Zagabond (Azuki), Evgeny Gaevoy (Wintermute), Jeffrey Feng (Sei), Yu Hu (Kaito), Henri Stern (Privy), Lucas Bruder (Jito), Frank DeGods, Threadguy and Banks.

  3. May–June 2025

    Launch and Apple Pay

The app launched in May 2025 and added Apple Pay top-ups a month later. The founders say that brought about $3 million of volume a day and $150,000 of revenue a week.

  4. September 2025

    Beyond Solana

Fomo went multichain: one buy button for tokens on different networks, with cross-chain trades routed by Relay.

  5. November 2025

    Benchmark

A $17 million Series A with Benchmark as the only fund in the round. Together with the pre-seed, $19 million.

  6. 11 June 2026

    Perps

Perpetual futures through Hyperliquid and Trade[XYZ]: crypto, stocks, indices, commodities. Not available to US residents.

  7. 22 June 2026

    Index Ventures

A $75 million Series B at a $550 million valuation. By then, according to Fomo, more than 625,000 people had joined and traded more than $4 billion.

  8. 31 August 2026

    Mobula

Fomo bought Mobula’s technology and team — on-chain data indexing, token prices, wallet data. The CEO told Axios the price was $17 million; Mobula itself keeps operating.

  9. 30 August 2026

    The Arc promise

Se Yong Park promised support for Circle’s Arc network on the day its mainnet launches — 16 September 2026.

Around Fomo

What people use around Fomo

Fomo has no official API, so third-party services collect trader data. Each of them states it is not affiliated with Fomo, and the Fomo terms prohibit bots and data mining: access can disappear any day.

Terminal · Robinhood Chain

rhtrenches

A live tape of Fomo trader trades, closed positions and a leaderboard by PnL, win rate and volume. Each profile shows an EVM wallet linked to the explorer. Free, no login or wallet; built by a former Messari researcher.

Terminal · Solana, BNB, Robinhood Chain

whobought

A live feed of buys and sells filtered by source — Fomo or Pump.fun — and by trade size. Free, no login.

Analytics · Fomo

TradeCamel

A “who to copy” ranking: how many of a trader’s copiers are in profit and how a $1,000 copy would have ended. Data comes from Fomo’s own records; copying on the site is paper only.

Telegram bot · Robinhood Chain, Base, BNB, Solana

CopyFomo

The bot mirrors the entries and exits of a trader you pick from the Fomo leaderboard, for a 2% fee per trade. $COPY holders get cashback and a revenue share. Funds sit in the bot’s wallet, deposited via /deposit.

API · Solana, Base, BNB

FomoScan

Maps a Fomo trader handle to the wallets they control, and back. Includes a Solana copy-trading terminal (beta). API from $79 a month.

API · Solana, EVM

FOMO API

A Fomo data API: wallets by handle, PnL, holdings, trades, theses, leaderboards, WebSocket. A free tier with 250k credits, paid plans from $49.99 a month. Its trading accounts keep the key on the service side; export goes through support.

Browser extension · Fomo, GMGN, XXYY

Fomo Lens

A card over Fomo, GMGN and XXYY pages: token narrative, Fomo theses, holders and the share held by Fomo users. Not in the Chrome Web Store — installed from a ZIP in developer mode and runs under your Fomo session.

Token launches · Robinhood Chain

dontblink

A launchpad on Robinhood Chain: during the launch window a token can only be bought through Fomo, capped at 2% of supply per wallet; afterwards trading opens to everyone. The original team left and the community runs the project on dontblink.community; per the changelog, the departed team still collects fees from the old BLINK/WETH pool.

Terminal · Arc, Robinhood Chain, Base, Solana

chart.zone

Charts and on-chain token data across ten networks, including Arc: price, market cap, liquidity, holders, token fees.

Fomo is aimed at people who want to buy trending tokens from a phone with a card and watch other traders’ moves in a feed. How much of it you can reach depends on your country and on the product: perpetuals are closed to U.S. persons, Robinhood tokens carry their own restrictions, and the app is missing from some App Store storefronts.

Mechanics

Trading and the social layer

Trading: any token on the six networks, cross-chain swaps from one USD balance without a manual bridge (routing through Relay), and perpetuals on crypto, stocks, indices and commodities through Hyperliquid. Social: a feed of buys and sells from the people you follow and from top traders, a leaderboard by time window, alerts when a followed trader trades, theses under positions, clans and team tags.

Watching is not copying. Fomo’s own guide describes a manual loop: follow a trader, get a push about their trade, then “DYOR and decide if you would like to copytrade”. The help centre says it outright: “fomo does not have a copy trading feature” (19 May 2026).

Without trading
After sign-in the feed, profiles, leaderboard and theses are available without placing a trade. Read-only use without an account is not possible on the web: logged-out visits to a profile or token page redirect to the landing page (checked 15 September 2026) Source ↗
Public profile
Volume, followers, following, a portfolio performance chart over several time frames and an activity breakdown. Sign-up creates the profile without any X link; which parts other users see is not specified Source ↗
Following
The Follow button on a profile or a feed post adds the trader to your Friends-only feed (buys, sells, thesis posts) and to a Friends list that shows each one’s PnL as a percentage or dollars over 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days; notifications fire for their buys and sells above a threshold you set. How many people you can follow is capped by your own activity in the app (help centre, 13 September 2026). Price alerts exist only for perps positions, not for spot tokens (12 August 2026) Source ↗
What PnL shows
The feed shows how much a trader is “up or down on a given trade” — an open-position figure; the Friends list shows each followed trader’s PnL as a percentage or dollars over 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Fomo does not state whether realised and unrealised PnL are separated in profiles or on the leaderboard Source ↗
Link to X
Optional: Profile → Settings → Account → “Connect your X account”; one X account per Fomo account, it can be unlinked and reconnected (help centre, 23 April 2026). The launch press release called it “X (Twitter) integration for finding friends” Source ↗
Copy trading
None. Fomo states it directly: “fomo does not have a copy trading feature”; sending funds from a profile is a direct transfer to that wallet, not a copy trade (help centre, 19 May 2026). The manual loop is follow → notification → decide yourself Source ↗
Theses
Traders publish the reasoning behind a position; theses are visible on the web and on the token chart Source ↗
Clans and team tags
Clans were about five weeks old on 11 September 2026; team tags let project teams post updates where the token trades Source ↗
Why a repeat differs
The Terms name the gap between expected and actual execution price as your cost; thin meme-coin liquidity widens it, and your trade happens after the push, not with it. Slippage controls and MEV protection are not described in any primary source Source ↗

A third-party analysis of 375 740 Fomo users on Robinhood Chain (7 September 2026) found 0.06 % with more than $10 000 of profit and 95.2 % at a loss or under $100. Source

Numbers

Revenue and metrics with dates

Revenue from DefiLlama and the platform’s own claims — every line is dated.

Fomo’s standard fee is 0.50% per trade, 0.45% with a referral code; perpetuals cost 0.05% on top of third-party protocol fees. Revenue figures come from DefiLlama, whose adapter counts USDC received by Fomo’s fee wallet on Solana plus Relay fees from a table uploaded by Fomo itself — Solana and Hyperliquid only, with a ten-hour lag.

  • What DefiLlama misses

Its volume series covers Solana only ($171 million for 14 September 2026), while Fomo itself attributed about three quarters of its early-September volume to Robinhood Chain; the volume history was also revised upwards, unlike the fee series

Fomo vs Pump.fun

Pump.fun started as a Solana meme-coin launchpad, Fomo as a trading app with a feed of other people’s trades. By 2026 both are fighting for the same trader.

  1. 14 February 2025

    Pump.fun

Released its mobile app — three months before Fomo launched.

  2. 26 May 2026

    Pump.fun

Added Ethereum, Base and BNB Chain trading to its app. Fomo had been multichain since September 2025.

  3. 13 August 2026

    Pump.fun

Callout Rewards: daily USDC payouts from a shared pool for trades made after your token call. The pool size and formula are not disclosed.

  4. 21 August 2026

    Fomo

Reached third place among free finance apps in the US App Store.

  5. 23 August 2026

    Fomo

Creator Rewards: an author earns a share of fees from trades that came through their content.

  6. 10 September 2026

    Pump.fun

Apple removed the Pump.fun app from the App Store in the US and India; the company calls it temporary. On Google Play both apps have more than 500,000 installs.

Other venues

Fomo’s class is the meme-coin terminal with a social layer. Of the venues below only GMGN documents automatic copy trading; Fomo, Pump.fun, Trenches and Robinhood Social share public trades, alerts and feeds, and the decision to repeat a trade stays with you. Fee and partner terms of the terminals are on their pages in the meme-coin section.

pump.fun

Launchpad plus terminal. Social features in the app since 7 August 2026: “callout” alerts to every follower, profiles, live streams. The app itself adds no markup, but the protocol fee of 0.3–1.25 % is paid on the bonding curve and in PumpSwap pools (fee schedule dated 20 May 2026)

Trenches (tren.ch)

Launched on 11 August 2026 as an “Attention Market” on Solana with profiles, a PnL tracker and “Stars” for trading volume; a $TRENCH airdrop was called “a possibility, not a promise” — for September and only if the product lasted a month. On 15 September 2026 the domain has no DNS records at all, the last archive snapshot is from 21 August, and no TGE was found

Robinhood Social

A social layer inside the Robinhood brokerage app, in beta since 18 March 2026: live verified trades in stocks, options, crypto and prediction markets, profiles tied to a KYC identity, follows and comments; users “manually trade directly from their feed”, and the Q2 2026 10-Q words it as “manually initiate trades shared by others”. The CEO promised a general rollout by the end of the quarter on the 29 July 2026 earnings call; on 15 September 2026 the Social page still says “Access is rolling out”

GMGN

Terminal with a public API and documented automatic copy trading of chosen wallets with take-profit and stop-loss (docs read 15 September 2026); on Robinhood Chain it held about 43.6 % of terminal volume against Fomo’s 35.6 % on 31 August 2026 (Dune data via Odaily) — the largest rival on Fomo’s main network

Terminal (formerly Padre) and Axiom

Terminals for professional traders. Terminal was bought by Pump.fun in October 2025; both it and Axiom are named as “competitor platforms” in the contract Pump.fun reportedly offered to traders leaving Fomo in August 2026 (Crypto Briefing, 12 August 2026)
