Your ecosystem guide / Venice
Venice is a platform for chatting with AI models and creating images, video and audio. You can use its app, API and connected tools. VVV, its token on Base, provides staking rewards, access to Venice Pro and a way to mint DIEM, an asset that supplies daily API credits.
Stake VVV to receive sVVV. Lock that sVVV to mint DIEM, then stake DIEM to unlock a daily request budget.
VVV can be transferred or staked. Staking earns newly issued VVV; staking 100 VVV also unlocks Venice Pro.
You receive sVVV when you stake VVV. Locking sVVV mints DIEM; burning the corresponding amount of DIEM releases the original collateral.
Each staked DIEM supplies $1 of Venice API credit every day. DIEM is a separate ERC-20 token: buy it, transfer it to another wallet or mint it against sVVV.
From tokens to requests
Minting ties DIEM to locked sVVV. Buying existing DIEM unlocks the same daily credit once you stake it.
The Venice dashboard shows the Mint Rate: how much sVVV is needed for one DIEM. Newly minted DIEM stays in your wallet until you stake it separately for daily credit. The sVVV collateral remains locked.
Venice terms ↗Buy DIEM on Aerodrome or Uniswap and stake it through the Venice dashboard. Each staked DIEM supplies $1 of daily credit; unused credit expires when the daily allowance refreshes.
Venice terms ↗Releasing collateral requires the same amount of DIEM that was minted against it. Recover DIEM after its one-day unstaking period or buy it on the market. Converting the released sVVV back into VVV has a separate seven-day waiting period.
Venice terms ↗Your choice of model also determines its privacy mode. Venice relays requests through its proxy; the selected mode determines how the content is processed.
The model provider receives the prompt without your Venice identity. The provider’s own policies govern content retention.
The request runs on Venice or partner infrastructure under a commitment to discard the prompt and response after processing.
The model runs in a hardware-isolated environment. Remote attestation lets you verify that execution environment.
Your client encrypts the prompt before transmission; only the verified enclave decrypts it. This mode is available for supported text models.
Use Venice to create text and media, connect models to your applications and run assistants. One API key covers different types of requests.
The Venice app
Chat with models and generate media in the Venice interface. Each model determines the available capabilities and privacy mode.
API for developers
Generate text, images, video and audio through programmatic requests. The OpenAI-compatible interface connects to existing clients.
The official command line
Venice CLI sends text requests, creates images and video, reads text aloud and transcribes audio. It also supports E2EE.
An assistant in messaging apps
OpenClaw connects to Venice as a model provider. The assistant works through your chosen WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord and other channels.
Open Venice directly to chat. Developers need an API key and a credit balance. Connect a Base wallet for VVV and DIEM operations; network transactions use ETH on Base for gas.
Choose a model and its privacy mode. Staking 100 VVV gives the connected account access to Venice Pro.
Create a key in API settings. Requests spend your account credits; the daily DIEM balance refreshes at 00:00 UTC.
Sign in to Venice with the wallet that has staked DIEM. The daily balance becomes spendable once you stake at least 0.1 DIEM.
Users pay for subscriptions and API credits. A share of those payments buys VVV on the market and burns it. VVV staking rewards come from newly issued tokens.
The daily credit continues while DIEM remains staked. Recovering VVV locked to mint DIEM starts with releasing the corresponding sVVV.
A one-day waiting period starts when you request unstaking. Once DIEM reaches your wallet, you can use or transfer it.
Burn the amount of DIEM minted against your collateral. This releases the original sVVV.
Request unstaking for the unlocked sVVV. Once the waiting period ends, you can claim VVV into your wallet.

No. You can use Venice chat without VVV. Staking 100 VVV is one way to access Venice Pro.
Daily credits become available after staking DIEM and linking the wallet to your Venice account. You need at least 0.1 staked DIEM to spend the balance.
The allowance refreshes daily at 00:00 UTC. Each staked DIEM supplies $1 of credit for the day; unused credit from the previous day expires.
The sVVV remains locked. To release it, obtain and burn the same amount of DIEM that was minted against that collateral.
Both tokens are on Base. VVV: 0xacfE6019Ed1A7Dc6f7B508C02d1b04ec88cC21bf. DIEM: 0xF4d97F2da56e8c3098f3a8D538DB630A2606a024. Network transactions use ETH on Base for gas.
Each model lists its Anonymous, Private, TEE or E2EE mode. In Anonymous mode, the provider sees the prompt content. Private uses processing without retention; TEE adds a protected enclave; E2EE encrypts the prompt on your client before sending it into that enclave.
