Compare exchange withdrawal fees, minimum amounts and availability for each XRP route. The XRP Ledger network fee is paid in XRP and burned; exchanges set their own withdrawal charges. A new personal XRP Ledger account also needs a reserve: this XRP remains in the account and cannot be sent in a normal payment. The reserve and the exchange fee are separate amounts.

To send XRP back to an exchange, choose a route with deposits open on the same network.

Choose a network and transfer XRP

Open the XRP receiving details in the destination wallet or exchange. Native XRP uses the XRP Ledger, also listed by exchanges as XRP or Ripple. A token transfer over BNB Smart Chain or Ethereum requires receiving details for that specific network.
Copy the address and any destination tag supplied by the recipient. The tag is a number identifying a customer at a shared exchange address. Enter it when provided; do not invent a tag for a personal wallet that does not require one.
Choose the same network on the sending exchange. Compare the fee, minimum and withdrawal status; for an exchange deposit, also confirm that receiving is open. The confirmation screen shows how much XRP the recipient will receive.
The first payment to a new XRP Ledger account must cover its account reserve. After sending, open the transaction ID in an explorer for the selected network; an exchange deposit is complete when it is credited to your balance.
