XRP is the native coin of the public XRP Ledger blockchain. It is used for transfers, network transaction costs and account reserves. Ripple is a technology company that uses XRP in its products and contributes to the network.
Native XRP is held in an XRP Ledger account and has no token contract address. A destination tag identifies which customer an exchange should credit when several customers share an address.
