GEOPOLITICS IS NOISY, THE MARKET IS HOLDING UP

🟡 Neutral — BTC is rising, but liquidity is tightening

In the foreground is the geopolitical backdrop: news about escalation in the Middle East and trade frictions add nervousness, but there is no panic in prices yet. Macro is almost unchanged: the dollar is standing still, 10-year and 2-year yields are also without daily movement (4.34% and 3.83%), and the VIX remains below 20 — the stock market is not pricing in acute stress. At the same time, over the week the dollar has moderately weakened, which slightly helps risk assets, but the key headwind is a noticeable reduction in net liquidity in the system.

Crypto looks resilient: BTC is holding around 77.8k and is up over the week, while volatility remains low by the standards of recent months — the market seems “collected” and ready for a sharp move out of the range. Weekly inflows into BTC ETFs are still strong (about 1.5B over 7 days), but the daily flow is almost zero (about 14M), meaning the impulse from institutions right now is more inertial than accelerating. BTC dominance is at highs over the last 90 days — capital continues to flow into the “core,” and altcoins in such an environment usually lag. Compared to yesterday, the picture is a bit warmer: BTC returns over 24 hours and over 7 days have improved, and the sentiment index has ticked up a bit, but without a regime shift.

WHAT TO WATCH

1) The Fed meeting in 3 days: the reaction of short rates is more important than the decision itself.
2) PCE in 4 days: any inflation surprise will quickly bring back the “higher rates for longer” theme.
3) Inflows into BTC ETFs: a return of daily demand is needed, otherwise the rally will remain fragile within the range.
