Risk OffETF OUTFLOWS
🔴 Negative — BTC broke the control line as fund demand turned into selling.
Yesterday I expected correction confirmation if liquidity stayed below 5,826 billion, BTC slipped under 64,000 and BTC funds failed to add fresh demand — got all conditions. BTC is now around $63.0k, and spot BTC ETFs swung from inflow to a $265.37 million outflow.
The critical news flag is geopolitical rather than crypto: yen, tariff and war pressure, fresh US-Iran missile exchanges, Suez security concerns and Russia-Ukraine escalation are still in the tape. But the market reaction is not panic; US equities closed firm and the latest VIX reading was calm, so the cleaner live signal is institutional crypto demand, not the headline feed.
Liquidity is the confirmation. Net liquidity is still just under yesterday's trigger, stablecoin supply is near a multi-month low, and ETF assets fell. That turns the BTC break into a funding problem, not just a chart problem.
The hook: volatility is still only 26.63%, so the market has confirmed correction conditions without yet paying much volatility premium. If vol rises through 30% while BTC stays under the line, the quiet part of the selloff is probably over.
WHAT TO WATCH
1) BTC reclaiming 64,000 before the next ETF update would downgrade this to a false break; a daily close below 64,000 keeps correction pressure dominant.
2) The next BTC ETF daily flow above zero after the $265.37 million outflow would show dip demand; another negative print keeps institutions distributing.
3) BTC 30-day volatility moving above 30% while price remains below 64,000 would mean the compressed range is resolving lower.
