NeutralETF INFLOWS
🟡 Neutral — ETF demand improved, but macro and geopolitics still cap conviction.
The first crack in the correction narrative is not price; it is flow. Yesterday I expected recovery only if BTC held 64k, ETF flow stayed positive, and volatility rose above 30%; got the first two, while volatility fell further. That keeps the market in consolidation, not confirmed recovery. The geopolitical tape is still noisy too: reports of a North Korean missile unit deploying in Russia for the Ukraine war and wider trade-war concern are serious headlines, but the market reaction still looks priced in.
BTC is holding just above 64k, and the latest BTC ETF print showed a third straight inflow at about 244 million. That is enough to move the backdrop from defensive toward neutral, but not enough to call a clean reversal. The hook is the contrast: three days of fund demand, yet volatility is still stuck below the recovery threshold.
Macro is not giving a fresh green light. Treasury and real-yield data were last updated two days ago and remain restrictive; the dollar print is older, so it should not be treated as a new daily signal. Net liquidity is broadly flat, and the drop in reverse repo has not yet translated into a visible liquidity impulse. Prediction markets are also not validating a euphoric turn: rate-cut odds remain very low, and crypto upside milestone odds are negligible.
So the day’s message is simple: institutional demand is improving, but the market is still coiled rather than breaking out.
WHAT TO WATCH
1) BTC holding above 64k with another BTC ETF inflow above 200 million would confirm that institutional demand is carrying the range.
2) BTC 30-day volatility back above 30% while price stays above 64k would be the first sign that consolidation is turning into recovery.
3) Net liquidity: a weekly decline worse than 0.5% would undercut the ETF improvement and put the macro headwind back in control.
