Robinhood Chain connects to any The environment in which a network executes Ethereum smart contracts. Compatible networks can run these contracts and work with familiar Ethereum wallets, but balances on different networks remain separate. wallet: Robinhood's support article says the chain is "Not connected to your Robinhood brokerage or crypto accounts", and the documentation calls it "compatible with EVM Wallets (MetaMask and more)". Below are the network parameters, the manual steps for MetaMask, three ways to confirm the connection works, and the places where the chain behaves unlike Ethereum from the first transaction. Network parameters
The values come from "Add network to your wallet"; the connecting page repeats them. Check them against those two addresses.

We queried both endpoints directly on 18 September 2026: eth_chainId returns 0x1237 on mainnet, which is 4663, and 0xb626 on testnet, which is 46630.
Adding the network to MetaMask
The documentation offers two paths. The first is a button on that same "Add network to your wallet" page: "Click on your wallet below to automatically add Robinhood Chain", and the wallet receives the parameters itself. The second is by hand, and it is the only one if the widget does not load for you.
- In MetaMask, open the network list and choose to add a network manually.
- Network name: anything you will recognise. The documentation does not prescribe one.
- RPC URL:

4663— the same number the endpoint returns foreth_chainId. - Currency symbol:
ETH. - Block explorer:
https://robinhoodchain.blockscout.com. The field is optional, but without it the wallet cannot open a transaction in an external explorer.
The testnet takes the same steps with different values: chain ID 46630, endpoint https://rpc.testnet.chain.robinhood.com, explorer explorer.testnet.chain.robinhood.com. It is a separate chain, and testnet assets do not carry over to mainnet.
Confirming the connection works
Three checks, none of which needs a transaction.
- The network is selected. The wallet shows the name you entered and the ETH symbol.
- The endpoint answers. If the address balance loads, the RPC is alive. Reading is never restricted here: the documentation states that "Standard read operations—such as eth_call, eth_getLogs, or balance queries—remain fully accessible and unaffected".
- The explorer sees the same address. Open your address on
robinhoodchain.blockscout.comand compare the balance with the wallet. A mismatch means the two are looking at different chains.
Make the first transfer a small one and wait for it in the explorer. The The node that receives transactions and puts them in order before they reach Ethereum. On Robinhood Chain the order is set strictly by the time a transaction arrives. returns a receipt in under a second ("Sub-second" in the documentation), but that is a soft confirmation: the batch reaches Ethereum minutes later, and full finality follows roughly thirteen minutes after the batch is posted.
The public RPC and its limits
The endpoints above are public, and the documentation names the limit plainly: "The following public endpoints are available but are rate-limited and not recommended for production use. For production, use a provider". That is enough for a wallet and not enough for an application polling the chain continuously.
The documentation names one recommended provider: "Alchemy is the recommended infrastructure provider for building on Robinhood Chain". The same page lists Chainstack, QuickNode, Blockdaemon, dRPC and Validation Cloud. Beyond RPC it publishes the sequencer at https://sequencer.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com and its feed at wss://feed.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com.
The public endpoint times out from time to time: in our run of several hundred requests on 17 September 2026 some calls dropped and the retries went through. If a balance does not load on the first attempt, repeat the request before changing any network setting.
Robinhood Wallet or a third-party wallet
Robinhood Wallet needs no setup: "Robinhood Wallet natively supports Robinhood Chain with no manual setup required". The documentation states the device requirement directly — "requires iOS or Android".
A third-party wallet is exactly the path above: "You can also connect using any EVM-compatible wallet by adding the network manually". Access to the chain itself is the same either way, and an address here is an ordinary EVM address. The difference lies in the products on top of the chain, which is the section below.
On the link to a brokerage account the support article is explicit: the chain "operates independently of the main Robinhood app and doesn't affect your investments, crypto balances, or portfolio". The chain itself "is offered through Robinhood Digital Assets, LLC ("RHDA")", and the same article adds that "RHDA is a software provider and does not provide regulated financial or advisory services".
Getting ETH or USDG into the network
The shortest path is a withdrawal from an exchange straight into the chain: pick the asset, pick the network in the withdrawal selector, paste an EVM address. No bridge, nothing to sign. In the selector the network reads Robinhood or Robinhood Chain; an Ethereum row says nothing about this chain.

How to read it
- The network must say Robinhood or Robinhood Chain. An Ethereum row says nothing about this chain.
- Check the minimum, not only the fee. A route can be open and still refuse your size.
- "Closed" means not today, not never. Exchanges suspend and resume networks routinely.
- Watch the date beside the table.
Per asset: ETH withdrawal fees and USDG withdrawal fees.
The second path is a bridge. If the coins already sit in your own Ethereum wallet, the canonical route is the Arbitrum bridge: a deposit confirms in around ten minutes, while the way back waits out a seven-day challenge period and ends with a claim transaction you sign on Ethereum yourself. The documentation also lists third-party routes — Stargate, Transporter, Relay, Across, LiFi and 0x. Every route, including the return leg, is covered in the article on the bridge.
Where the chain differs from Ethereum
Gas is ETH: "Robinhood Chain uses ETH as its native gas token". A wallet holding only USDG cannot pay for its next transaction, so keep some ether there in advance. A fee has two components, which the documentation calls the "L2 execution fee" and the "L1 data fee — the cost of posting your transaction's data to Ethereum for data availability".
Ordering is first-come, first-served: "no transaction can bypass others by paying higher fees", and separately, "increasing your fee will not shift your transaction ahead of others already in the queue". The familiar move of outbidding the queue does not work here.
The chain screens transactions at the sequencer: "any transaction associated with a sanctioned address will be excluded from inclusion", and "Since a blocked transfer is never processed, it simply appears as though the event never occurred". Reading stays unrestricted.
The technical base is "Arbitrum Dedicated Blockchains", with transaction data going to Ethereum as blobs. Block time by our own measurement on 18 September 2026 is about 100.6 ms: 100,617 seconds separate the current block from the one a million positions back.
What the chain gates by jurisdiction
The chain does not ask where you live; the products on top of it do. Stock Tokens are issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, and access is subject to the issuer’s restricted-jurisdictions list. Further restrictions apply "including, without limitation, the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland". What those instruments are legally is covered in our piece on Stock Tokens.
