Pons: from token launch to trading and fee claims

Pons is a token launch and trading platform on Robinhood Chain. V2 launches trade on a curve before graduating into a Uniswap v4 pool. Creators choose the pairing asset and fee recipient; V1 tokens continue trading in their original Uniswap v3 pools.

The launch token, pairing asset and PONS

A purchase exchanges the pairing asset for the selected project’s token. A sale reverses that exchange.

TOKEN

The project’s own token

Each launch has its own address and trading rules. V2 graduation preserves the same token in your wallet.

PAIR

The asset used to trade

V1 uses WETH. V2 supports ETH or an approved ERC-20 pairing asset, including supported stablecoins and tokenized stocks. Prices and cash creator fees use that asset.

PONS

The platform’s token

PONS is a separate V1 launch paired with WETH. The platform’s budget policy allocates funds to buying PONS and burning the purchased tokens.

ETH

Network and creation costs

ETH pays Robinhood Chain gas and the launch fee. A custom pairing asset requires a separate ETH balance for those costs.

The version determines where trading starts

A launch retains its own rules. V1 and V2 use different pools and fee-collection paths.

V1

A pool from the first trade

The launch creates one billion tokens and a locked token/WETH liquidity position in Uniswap v3. Reaching its WETH threshold marks graduation within that existing pool.

V2

A curve followed by a pool

Buys and sells move the price along the configured curve. Completion sends the collected pairing asset and remaining tokens into Uniswap v4 with a permanently locked position.

RULES

The launch’s own fee schedule

V1 shares depend on its locker contract. V2 retains its selected pairing asset and fee policy in its launch contracts. Earlier launches continue using their original rules.

Launch lifecycle

Trading venues and what graduation changes

V1 trades in a pool immediately. A V2 curve builds reserves for its future pool, retaining the chosen pairing asset across both stages.

V1 · pool from the first swap

  1. 01Create the token and locked WETH position
  2. 02Swap WETH and the token in Uniswap v3
  3. 03Reach the WETH threshold in the same pool

V1 graduation marks the accumulated WETH threshold. Trading continues in its original v3 pool, using the launch token already held in the wallet.

Launch mechanism ↗

V2 · ETH → v4 pool

  1. 01Create an ETH launch curve
  2. 02Buy and sell until curve completion
  3. 03Move reserves into a locked v4 pool

ETH is the buying and selling asset. Trading moves to Uniswap v4 once the pool is created. Selling is temporarily unavailable after the curve completes and before the pool is created; this intermediate stage is called Swept.

Launch mechanism ↗

V2 · custom pairing asset

  1. 01Select an approved ERC-20 quote
  2. 02Approve spending and trade on the curve
  3. 03Continue in the same v4 pair

The selected quote determines prices, sale proceeds and creator cash payouts. Graduation preserves that pairing asset. ETH pays gas and the launch fee separately.

Launches and trading pairs

Pons Launchpad

The launch board shows tokens, pairing assets and trading stages. Each launch card opens its market and parameters.

Token identity and economics

Pons Create

Create separates the token description from economic settings. Launching requires a wallet signature and address eligibility under the selected version.

Your tokens and accrued funds

Pons Profile

After sign-in, Profile combines launches, holdings and creator fees. The designated recipient claims its available balance.

Pairs and fee flows

Pons Analytics

Analytics separates curve trading, pool trading and launch activity. The chosen period and pairing asset define the displayed figures.

Wallet, pairing asset and interface eligibility

The Pons interface is for users aged 18 or older. Its terms exclude the European Union, United Kingdom, Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Myanmar, Venezuela and specified regions of Ukraine. Sanctions restrictions also apply.

WALLET

Sign with your own wallet

Operations use Robinhood Chain, chain ID 4663. The user’s wallet signs swaps and launches, and the user retains their private keys.

PAIR

Fund the selected pair

Buying requires WETH, ETH or the selected approved ERC-20 quote. An ERC-20 spending approval authorizes the relevant contract to use that asset.

LAUNCH

Creation and early trading

The current V2 factory charges 0.0005 ETH per launch and allows creator tax up to 10%. Launching uses address eligibility; an initial buy tax can decay over time.

Trading fees, PONS and launch-token buybacks

Trade fees follow the launch version. PONS purchases use the platform’s budget; V2 buybacks purchase the specific launch token and place it in a vesting program.

V1 token buyer or seller

V1 pool fees

A V1 pool charges 1% per swap. Under the active fee split, Uniswap takes one sixth of the pool fee before the remainder is divided by the locker’s policy.

Platform budget: PONS purchases and burning

The current budget policy provides for PONS purchases spread over time, followed by transfers of the purchased tokens to a burn address.

V2 standard fees and creator tax

Creator tax is set at launch. The current stack retains its base rate after graduation: the v4 hook, an additional pool contract, charges it.

From accrued fees to the recipient’s wallet

Trading accrual, claimable balances and vested buyback tokens use separate actions.

01

Sweep accrued fees

Fees accrue on the curve or pool contract. Sweep moves them into recipient accounting. Internal conversion or buyback requires an operator; the creator can sweep the quote without that trade.

02

Claim available funds

The designated recipient calls Claim for its available balance. V2 cash payout uses the pairing asset, with native ETH and ERC-20 balances recorded separately.

03

Release buyback tokens

The creator or protocol recipient calls Release. Available tokens accrue to both beneficiaries, and each claims its own allocation.

HOLDER

Holding the launch token

A holder buys, keeps and sells the project’s token under its rules. Fee payments and vested buyback tokens go to the designated creator and protocol beneficiaries.

Launch and payment questions

1Do I exchange my token after V2 graduation?

The token address stays the same. Once the pool is created, its trading venue moves to Uniswap v4.

2Why does V1 graduation retain its pool?

V1 creates the Uniswap v3 pool at launch. Graduation marks its WETH threshold within that pool.

3Which asset pays V2 creator cash fees?

The pairing asset selected at launch. A custom approved ERC-20 pair settles cash fees in that asset, while ETH pays gas and creation costs.

4Who receives V2 bought-back tokens?

The vault vests the specific launch token to creator and protocol beneficiaries. The current vesting duration is five years.

5How does platform revenue connect to PONS?

The Pons budget policy allocates 80% to purchasing its own PONS token for burning, with 20% for platform operations.

6Can I use PLP now?

The PLP page is marked Coming soon. Current Pons products include the trading board, token creation, Profile and Analytics.
