How rates and payments are calculated
The 8-hour equivalent is the rate per interval × 8 ÷ interval hours. It makes different intervals comparable. One payment is position notional × the original rate. The annualized equivalent in the history is a linear conversion of the rate to one year.
TWT funding questions
Who receives funding when the TWT rate is positive?
At a positive rate, long holders pay short holders. At a negative rate, the direction reverses. The payment depends on the position notional and the rate of the specific contract.
Should I multiply the payment by leverage again?
No, if the calculator already contains the full position notional. Leverage is used once: position notional equals collateral multiplied by leverage.
