To buy Solana on Binance, choose SOL as the asset you receive. You can pay through an available card or bank channel, or exchange crypto you already hold using Convert or Spot. Check the completed order and your actual SOL balance before treating the purchase as finished.
If you need SOL for a Solana wallet, there is one more step: withdraw SOL on the Solana network to that wallet. Buying a token issued on Solana does not automatically give you SOL to pay the wallet's transaction fees.
This guide covers Binance.com, where the relevant services are available to your account. Binance.US is a separate platform. Complete the identity checks requested under Account → Identification before Periodic payments between buyers and sellers of perpetual futures. Buyers pay when the rate is positive; sellers pay when it is negative. This mechanism keeps the contract price closer to the underlying asset price. the account; payment methods and limits vary by region. Binance identity verification.
Choose a route based on what you already have
| Starting point | Route to SOL |
|---|---|
| Money on a supported card | Buy Crypto → SOL → available card payment |
| An available bank deposit channel | Deposit fiat, then use a supported SOL purchase or exchange route |
| Crypto already available on Binance | Convert to SOL or buy SOL on a matching Spot pair |
| A suitable local P2P payment method | Buy an available intermediate asset, then exchange it for SOL |
| SOL in another wallet | Deposit that SOL; you do not need to buy it again |
Choose the final trading pair before buying an intermediate coin. Binance has public SOL/USDT and SOL/USDC markets, but account eligibility still matters. For EEA users, USDT Spot pairs are restricted; check whether SOL/USDC or another permitted route is available to your account. Convert is not a workaround for a restricted product. Buy SOL with a card or deposited fiat
For a direct purchase on the website:
- Open Buy Crypto and select your payment currency, SOL, and the amount you want to spend.
- Choose the available Card option. Add your own card if needed.
- Review the total charge, fees and SOL you will receive. If the quote expires or changes, review the replacement before confirming.
- Confirm the order and complete the bank's authorization if requested.
- Open History → Fiat Order or Buy & Sell → Orders, check the outcome, then look for SOL in Assets → Overview and your Spot balance.
These are the steps in Binance's card purchase guide; its SOL purchase page lists direct buying subject to availability. A bank debit alone does not prove that SOL was delivered. If the order failed or is pending, investigate that order before trying another payment.
If you prefer an available bank channel, start with Deposit → Bank Deposit. Use the currency, recipient details and payment reference displayed in the new deposit instruction. Wait for the fiat balance to arrive, then select an available purchase or exchange into SOL. Depositing fiat is not itself a SOL purchase. Binance deposit guide.
Exchange existing crypto for SOL with Convert
Open Trade → Convert & Block Trade, select Instant, then choose your existing asset under From and SOL under To. Enter the amount and select Preview Conversion. Check the SOL receivable and confirm only if you accept the current quote.
Use Orders → Convert History to verify completion and inspect the SOL balance. An Instant order is a one-time exchange; Recurring creates a purchase schedule and is not needed for this transaction. Convert's quote can differ from Spot, so compare the amount of SOL received for the same input rather than treating “no additional trading fee” as “no cost.” Binance Convert FAQ.
Buy SOL on Spot
Use Spot when you want to choose the trading pair and order type yourself. Your spending asset must be available in the Spot balance.
- Open Trade → Spot and search for a pair matching your available funds, such as SOL/USDC or SOL/USDT, if permitted for your account.
- Keep the order form on Spot, not Cross or Isolated Margin, and choose the Buy side of the form.
- Choose Market for execution against available sell orders, or Limit to set a purchase price. A Limit order may remain unfilled.
- Check the input units: Total is the budget in the second asset of the pair; Amount is the quantity of SOL. Enter your amount and, for a Limit order, the purchase Price. Check the form's current minimum and your available balance.
- Review the values, then select Buy SOL and complete any order confirmation.
- Check Trade History and the SOL quantity in Spot. If the order remains in Open Orders, inspect what has actually filled before placing another order.
For example, on SOL/USDC, Buy SOL spends USDC. The displayed market price is not a promise of your average execution price. Spot trading instructions, Market and Limit orders.
If you need P2P to obtain the spending asset
Check that the intermediate asset has an available route to SOL first. In Trade → P2P → Buy, select that asset, your fiat currency and payment method. Compare the offer's limits and conditions, create the order and pay using its recipient details. Only after making the payment, select Transferred, Notify Seller. Wait for release and use View my balance. Direct SOL P2P availability should not be assumed for every local market. Binance P2P instructions.
Pay from an account in your verified name and ensure the recipient matches the seller's verified name. Keep communication in the order. If you have paid but the seller has not released the crypto, use the order's chat and appeal process; do not cancel before receiving an actual refund. P2P transaction policy.
Funding or Spot: check the actual balance
Binance began moving Funding functions to Spot on 29 September 2026, with a staged rollout. Older instructions saying every P2P purchase must land in Funding are no longer reliable for every account.
Check Assets → Overview, then Spot. If the intermediate asset is still in Funding, use Transfer, choose Funding as the source, Spot as the destination, the coin and amount, then confirm. If it is already in Spot, skip the transfer. The updated migration FAQ also moves one-time Convert settlement to Spot; verify the account shown in your completed order. Send native SOL to a Solana wallet
Open the receiving wallet and obtain its Solana receiving address. Do not paste a token mint address found in a search result: a mint identifies a token, not your personal receiving wallet. For a normal SOL balance used to pay Solana fees, you want native SOL on Solana. A token with a similar name on another network is not equivalent for this purpose. Solana token documentation.
On the Binance website, open Assets → Overview → Withdraw → Withdraw Asset, choose SOL, and enter the receiving address. Select Solana, provided the recipient supports it and withdrawal is available. Check the minimum, fee and final recipient amount before completing the requested security checks. The withdrawal form may either add the fee to a chosen recipient amount or deduct it from the total; read which amount your form describes.
For a new address, consider a small test that meets the minimum and accounts for the fee. Check Orders → Transaction History and the receiving wallet: a submitted withdrawal is not yet a confirmed receipt. Binance withdrawal instructions.
You can consult SOL withdrawal fees on Binance in Yieldo before transferring, then confirm the actual conditions in Binance. That withdrawal fee is not the Solana protocol fee for a later wallet transaction.
Keep purchase costs separate from wallet fees
For the purchase, compare the SOL credited for the same starting budget. Include card or bank charges where applicable, the quoted exchange rate and any Spot trading fee. Check both the amount and the asset in which a trading fee was charged; do not subtract a fee paid in another asset from SOL as though it were a SOL amount.
For delivery to your wallet, use the SOL received after the withdrawal fee. Once the funds arrive, Solana transactions need SOL for network fees, including when you send other tokens. Priority fees can vary, so use the wallet's current estimate and leave enough native SOL for the actions you plan. Holding USDT on Solana does not itself provide this SOL balance. How Solana transaction fees work.
If the wallet reports insufficient SOL, check the native SOL balance and its fee estimate before retrying. If Binance shows a balance but withdrawal is unavailable after P2P, check the account's hold message: some P2P situations have temporary withdrawal restrictions even when the crypto can be traded. Buying SOL does not automatically remove that hold. P2P withdrawal restrictions.
