How these two differ
These two exchanges solve different problems, and the "which is better" argument almost always comes down to what you trade. Bybit grew out of derivatives: a deep book on major pairs, a mature terminal, copy trading. MEXC grew out of listings: it takes tokens earlier and in bulk, which is why it carries 9539 coins with withdrawal data against 796 on Bybit.
The gap shows up where the lists overlap: 701 coins sit on both, but 8838 exist only on MEXC. If you come for a specific freshly listed altcoin, the odds are clearly better on MEXC. If you trade BTC, ETH and a dozen major alts, listing breadth buys you nothing — execution and withdrawal reliability do.
The second practical difference is verification. Bybit requires KYC across all products; MEXC lets you trade and withdraw within a daily cap without it. That is convenient right up to your first large withdrawal: the cap depends on your region and moves, and raising it means the same verification anyway.
Which one suits you

- → you are fine verifying once and never hitting a cap again
- → you withdraw often: 17.7% of networks are closed now against 17.1% on MEXC

How to move funds
Moving funds between Bybit and MEXC goes straight over the blockchain — there is no intermediary rail, you only pay the sender's network fee.
- Pick a network that is open on both sides. The cheapest right now is APTOS at 0 USDT on a $1,000 transfer.
- Copy the deposit address on the receiving exchange for that exact network: a TRC-20 address will not accept a BEP-20 transfer, and such transfers cannot always be recovered.
- Check the minimum withdrawal amount — on small transfers it matters more than the fee itself.
- Send the withdrawal and follow the confirmations in the network explorer.

The platform still serves users from Russia and its RUB P2P desk works. Cards of sanctioned banks have been removed from the payment methods at times — the list of available banks shifts, so check it inside P2P before trading.
Since 8 May 2023 at least Level 1 verification is mandatory across all products: without it only closing positions and withdrawing remain available.
The platform has not introduced restrictions for users from Russia and its RUB P2P desk works.
Verification is not required for basic trading and withdrawals: without it a region-dependent daily cap applies. KYC raises the limits and unlocks fiat rails.
