Funding rates for LTC perpetual futures reflect the cost of holding long or short positions. When the rate is positive, longs pay shorts; when negative, shorts pay longs. Rates are typically settled every 8 hours and can vary significantly across exchanges. Traders use funding rate differences between exchanges for delta-neutral arbitrage strategies.
