Aerodrome is a crypto exchange on Base. Its AERO token rewards participants who supply tokens for swaps and stake their liquidity positions in the rewards programme.

Holders can lock AERO for one week to four years and receive veAERO, an NFT representing the locked position and voting rights. Votes allocate new AERO to liquidity pools. Voters receive a share of trading fees and incentives from their chosen pools, proportional to their share of each pool’s votes. Once the lock expires, its AERO can be withdrawn through Aerodrome.
