How these two differ
Bitget vs KuCoin reads like a coin flip on the fee pages. Perpetuals cost the same at the base tier on both — 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker. Both take 20% off spot fees when you pay in the house token, BGB on Bitget and KCS on KuCoin, and on both that rebate stops at spot and spot margin: neither of them covers futures. Spot looks matched too, at 0.1% maker and taker — but only across part of KuCoin’s catalogue, and that exception is where the real difference lives.
Bitget quotes one spot rate for everything it lists. KuCoin sorts tokens into classes and quotes a base rate per class: at level 0 that is 0.1% for Class A, 0.2% for Class B and 0.3% for Class C. On a Class A pair the two venues are identical; two classes down, KuCoin’s base rate is three times Bitget’s, and a 20% rebate does not close a gap that size. So the first thing to check is not the headline tariff but which class your pair sits in — KuCoin moves individual tokens between classes by separate announcement. The KCS rebate has a floor of its own: it stops applying once your class rate drops below 0.025%, 0.050% and 0.075% respectively.
Because the perpetual rates match, the cost difference on futures moves into cadence. Bitget settles funding every eight hours as a rule and states plainly that the interval can differ for particular coins. KuCoin settles majors every eight hours, most other pairs every four, and can shorten the cycle to one hour while an extreme premium unwinds. The same quoted percentage is therefore not the same money on the two venues until both are normalised to one period, which is what our KuCoin funding page and its Bitget counterpart do.
Coverage is the last axis, and the two catalogues overlap less than their sizes suggest. Both list broadly; they list different things. In the Yieldo withdrawal database the shared part comes to 951 coins, against 3932 carried only on the Bitget side and 1230 only on the KuCoin side. Those are counts of our own coverage, not of either exchange’s full listing.

Since 1 September 2023 Level 1 verification is mandatory for new accounts; users registered earlier were given until 1 October 2023. After that an unverified account keeps withdrawals, order cancellation, subscription redemption and position closing — opening new trades is blocked.
Since 15 July 2023 (UTC) verification is mandatory for new registrations, and from 31 August 2023 the exchange raised the bar to standard verification. Older accounts that have not completed it lose deposits, while withdrawals, spot sell orders, closing futures and margin positions and Earn redemption keep working.

A route requires open withdrawals at the sender and deposits at the receiver on the same network and in the same token form. Selection requires a known fee and a withdrawal minimum compatible with 1,000 USDT. The fee shown is the sender withdrawal fee; verify the terms at both exchanges before transferring.
Moving funds from Bitget to KuCoin is a plain on-chain withdrawal: there is no intermediary rail, and the only cost is the sending side’s network fee.
- Pick a chain that works in this direction — one where Bitget allows the withdrawal and KuCoin accepts the deposit. The pair shares 114 networks, and a chain open on one side only is not a route.
- Take the cheapest of those rather than the one you always use. On a $1,000 USDT transfer the current pick is BSC, at 0.01 USDT.
- Copy the deposit address from KuCoin for that exact chain. A TRC-20 address will not accept a BEP-20 transfer, and a wrong-chain deposit cannot always be recovered.
- Check the minimum withdrawal alongside the fee — on small transfers the minimum decides more than the fee does. Both are listed per chain on the Bitget withdrawal fee page.
- Send, then follow the confirmations in the block explorer. Going the other way is a separate calculation: KuCoin’s own withdrawal fee applies, and the cheapest chain back need not be the same one.
