SAND: the token of The Sandbox gaming platform

The Sandbox is a gaming platform where participants build their own games and 3D items. SAND pays for avatars, equipment and LAND plots, and gives holders a vote on the ecosystem’s development. Marketplace items and LAND plots are represented by NFTs: tokens that record ownership of a specific asset.
Creators make items in VoxEdit and build games without coding in Game Maker. Holders of at least 5 SAND or one LAND plot can join The Sandbox DAO, discuss proposals and vote through Snapshot. They can delegate voting power while keeping their tokens in their own wallet. Sending SAND from a wallet requires ETH on Ethereum or POL on Polygon.

SAND Earn and The Sandbox’s closed staking programme
Exchange Earn products accept SAND under the selected platform’s terms. The rate belongs to that product, and the estimate uses the deposit amount and term.
The Sandbox programme has ended
The Sandbox’s own pools stopped paying rewards on 26 June 2025. To retrieve deposited tokens, open Staking on The Sandbox website with the wallet used to deposit SAND and select Withdraw for your position.
Redeeming Earn and transferring to a wallet
Exchange Earn redemption first returns SAND to your available exchange balance. A subsequent wallet withdrawal has its own fee, minimum and network. Ethereum and Polygon support using SAND in The Sandbox.
