Our Verdict
MEXC leads on 3 of 6 criteria against 1 for Binance — the rest are close enough to call a draw. Which of them matters depends on what you need the exchange for.
On USDT withdrawal fees Binance and MEXC cost about the same — under 10% apart, which should not decide the choice.

The average USDT fee is computed across all of the exchange's networks; the line under the page heading shows a different figure — the cheapest available network. Hence the two numbers differ: one answers "how much on average", the other "how much if you pick the best route".
Which one for which job
An overall score decides little: the two exchanges win on different axes. Here is which ones, with the number next to each.
How these two differ
For a Russian-speaking user, Binance versus MEXC comes down not to fees but to ruble rails. Binance closed them: RUB deposits stopped on 15 November 2023, RUB support on P2P ended on 31 January 2024, and the ruble spot pairs were delisted. Crypto trading and crypto withdrawals still work, but rubles can no longer be brought in directly. MEXC still runs a RUB P2P desk.
Everything else is still two different weight classes with different strengths. Binance has liquidity and book depth nobody matches. MEXC has listing speed: 9533 coins with withdrawal data against 689 on Binance, and 8967 of them exist only here.
Verification separates them too: Binance requires KYC, while MEXC lets you trade and withdraw under a daily cap without it.
Which one suits you
- → you need the deepest liquidity on major pairs
- → you fund in crypto rather than in rubles
- → you trade size, where slippage costs more than fees
- → you need a RUB P2P desk — Binance closed one on 31 January 2024
- → you hunt fresh listings: 8967 coins only here
- → you would rather not verify for small amounts
How to move funds
The transfer runs over the blockchain: the sender pays the fee and the receiving side does not charge for the deposit.
- Pick a network open on both sides — right now BSC costs 0.01 USDT on $1,000.
- Copy the deposit address on the same network.
- Check the minimum withdrawal amount.
- Send it and wait for network confirmations.
Access and verification
These terms change more often than the numbers above: every fact carries a check date and a source link.
| Criteria | Binance | MEXC |
|---|---|---|
| Users from Russia | With limits | Works |
| Verification (KYC) | Required | Tiered |
| RUB top-up via P2P | No | Yes |
| RUB card top-up | No | — |
Ruble rails are closed: RUB deposits stopped on 15 November 2023, RUB support on P2P ended on 31 January 2024, and the BTC/RUB and USDT/RUB spot pairs were delisted at the same time. Crypto trading and crypto withdrawals still work.
Verification is required for trading and withdrawals.
The platform has not introduced restrictions for users from Russia and its RUB P2P desk works.
Verification is not required for basic trading and withdrawals: without it a region-dependent daily cap applies. KYC raises the limits and unlocks fiat rails.
This is not legal advice. Exchanges change their rules without notice — check the terms on the platform itself before funding an account.

A route only works if the sender allows withdrawals on that network and the receiver accepts deposits on it. The fee shown is the network withdrawal fee; the receiving exchange does not charge for the deposit.

A change means the value moved between samples, not the sample itself: polling records the rate regularly, and without that collapse "changes" would simply equal the number of readings.
