Rates are typically settled every 8 hours and can vary significantly across exchanges. Traders use funding rate differences between exchanges for delta-neutral arbitrage strategies. What are Funding Rates?
Funding rates are periodic payments between long and short traders in perpetual futures markets. They keep the futures price aligned with the spot price.
