Funding rates for ETH perpetual futures reflect the cost of holding long or short positions. When the rate is positive, longs pay shorts; when negative, shorts pay longs. Rates are typically settled every 8 hours and can vary significantly across exchanges. Traders use funding rate differences between exchanges for delta-neutral arbitrage strategies. We monitor funding rates across 7+ exchanges including Bybit, Bitget, OKX, MEXC, Gate.io, and KuCoin, updating data every 10 minutes.

Funding rates are periodic payments between long and short traders in perpetual futures markets. They keep the futures price aligned with the spot price. High positive rates indicate bullish sentiment (longs pay shorts), while negative rates signal bearish conditions (shorts pay longs). Rates are typically settled every 8 hours, though some exchanges use 4-hour or 1-hour intervals.
