ZRO: LayerZero’s token for voting on the protocol fee

LayerZero carries messages between blockchains. Applications use them to transfer assets and perform actions across networks, while ZRO holders vote on an additional protocol fee.

If the fee is enabled, the rules provide for using collected funds to buy ZRO and burn the purchased tokens, removing them from circulation. The June 2026 vote ended with Off, leaving the fee disabled. ZRO can also be held and transferred across networks through Stargate.
